Question 1

Where is my bus right now?

Accepted Answer

Open whereismybus.uk and allow location, or type a postcode or place. W.I.M.B shows live bus positions on a map and the next buses at the stops closest to you.

Question 2

Where does the live bus data come from?

Accepted Answer

Bus positions and disruptions come from the UK government's Bus Open Data Service (BODS), and stops from NaPTAN. Arrival times are estimates unless marked Official.

Question 3

Can I get a notification when my bus is close?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Use Ping me to choose your stop and bus, and W.I.M.B sends a phone notification a set number of minutes before it arrives.

Question 4

How much does W.I.M.B cost?

Accepted Answer

There is a 14-day free trial, then it costs £1 a month. There are no adverts.

Question 5

Do I need to download an app?

Accepted Answer

No. W.I.M.B works in any phone browser, and you can add it to your Home Screen to use it like an app.
